Dr. Muhammad Rizky is the Head (Dean) of Business Administration Department and Secretary General of Scientific Research Council at UCB. He also acts as external programme reviewer under Bahrain Quality Assurance (BQA). He is an Assistant Professor of Islamic Finance at UCB. His rich academic background and expertise provides a critical understanding of Islamic economics & finance, banking, business, and corporate finance. He is the recipient of “Emerald Literati Awards 2019” and “Young Researcher Awards 2018”. During his teaching career, he has taught multiple undergraduate and postgraduate courses, and has supervised numerous MBA student’s theses and business projects in the fields of business management, banking, finance, and Islamic finance. He also served as an academic advisor for both undergraduate and MBA students at UCB. He has involved in many community involvement activities as journal’s editorial board members, committee’s members, journal’s reviewer, book’s reviewer, keynote speaker, trainer, and invited speaker in various seminars/workshops. Prior to joining UCB, Dr. Muhammad was a research consultant at International Institute of Advanced Islamic Studies (IAIS) Malaysia. He also served as a consultant at Islamic Research and Training Institute (IRTI) Saudi Arabia. He was a lecturer at IIUM Centre for Continuing Education, Malaysia. During his PhD tenure, he completed a research fellowship in Islamic finance at University of Tsukuba, Japan. He possesses a Doctor of Philosophy (Research Area in Finance) from University of Technology Malaysia, UTM; Master of Science in Finance (Islamic Banking & Finance) from International Islamic University Malaysia, IIUM; and double degrees (Bachelor of Economics & Bachelor of Business Administration) from State University of Padang and Northern University of Malaysia, respectively.
